Beach Huts For Hire Holland On Sea
Holland On Sea is a lovely area, and we have two award-winning beach huts to hire. Clacton, where you can enjoy the pier and more in the summer time, is easily accessible just down the road a short distance.
The huts are in a good position to step out onto the sand and enjoy beautiful sea views. They are just 10 metres from a fresh water tap, and there is a disabled access ramp with toilets close by too. The soft sand is ideal for for dog walking, which many people take advantage of.

Holland on Sea is a quiet area on the coast of Essex approximately four miles from Clacton. This is an excellent location to go for long walks along the coast, when you may see a variety of migratory birds. Holland on Sea has the feel you have found a “secret” beach, and it’s very peaceful.

Bus:
There is one bus route 134 “Clacton Breeze” (https://www.hedingham.co.uk/timetables/134)
From Clacton on Sea train station driving short trip around Holland on Sea in an open top bus in the summer time.
It would be good to stay on and see the sights. A full route half hour round trip stopping at the Kings Cliff Hotel (ask the driver to let you know the Kings Cliff Hotel). They are a friendly bus or ring the bell well in advance. They are on the sea front all week days including half day Saturday not Sunday.
Get on the 134 at the train station `Station road bus stop` (ask the train station reception for the location of the stop as it can be confusing `Station road stop’) and get off at the Kings Cliff Hotel on the sea front.
The Kings Cliff Hotel is at the top of Kings Avenue (it has the beer garden easily seen from the bus).
From the Kings Cliff Hotel (https://www.thekingscliffhotel.co.uk/) and restaurant, walk to the concrete ramp and walk down past the toilet onto the sea front heading straight on.

Walk to the sea front from Clacton on Sea train station along Carnarvon road to Marine Parade East.
Head away from the pier along and stay on the sea front till you reach the Kings Cliff restaurant (a 30 minute walk from the train station).

Drive:
Leave the A12 and merge onto the A120 via the slip road.
Then follow signs for Clacton/Weeley A133. At the 2nd roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on the A133 to Clacton.
Follow signs to Clacton seafront.
At the seafront, turn left onto Kings Parade and the Kingscliff Hotel will be on the left hand side.
Use car park at the front of the Kings Cliff and Flamingo restaurant or if full the `Hazelmere car park` further up the road towards the pier.
You will see it. Then you’re just a 4 minute walk from the hut on the right hand side of the road.

The day before the booked date we will text you a padlock entry number, you will then take this number to the hut and use it to open the padlocks and gain entry.
If you have booked a beach hut but would like to cancel and would like a refund you need to let us know 48 hours in advance.
We have a numbered padlock system. The code to the padlocks will be given to you when the booking is made. Use the numbers to enter the beach hut on your day the numbers will then be changed so no re-entry.

Reverse the route to get to the train station from the beach hut.
Use the car park at the front of the Kings Cliff Hotel and Flamingo restaurant or if full the `Hazelmere car park` further up the road towards the pier you will see it a 4 minute walk from the hut on the right hand side of the road.
There is also parking along the residential streets nearby.
Holland on Sea has many places to eat and drink.
We recommend as one of the the best restaurants in Holland on Sea, the `The Kings Cliff`, which is less than a minute walk away directly above the beach huts.
Fish and chips can be found a 5 minute walk away on Kings Avenue.
There is a shop with anything you will need: milk, sandwiches, drinks, paper just past the `Kings cliff` a minute’s walk away.
All our huts are ground level and a minute’s walk away from a brand new ramp designed for wheelchairs.
You can bring a wheelchair or pram to the beach hut without any problems.
There is one step up into the beach hut and no other access you can bring the chair into the hut or sit it just outside.
There are two steps down to the sand.
Dogs are more than welcome, The beach is dog-friendly all year round.
Please remember to clean up your dog’s mess. A spare bowl and poop bags are provided.
Please do not leave dogs unattended in/out of the hut.
None of the huts have electricity but are fully equipped with a two ring gas stove and gas bottle.
Please remember not to leave the stove unattended when on and to turn the gas off when you depart.
Instructions for both main gas stove and portable stove are provided in the info pack in hut.
Do not use the gas stove when the window or door are closed as there will not be enough ventilation which could cause a build-up of carbon monoxide in the hut.
The taps can be found at the end of each beach hut row a 30 second walk away.
The taps are turned off from October to April
Public toilets can be found on the ramp a 30 second walk away.
Disabled toilets can be found on the ramp as above a Radar key is provided in the beach hut.
We provide several beach toys in both huts but advise you bring or buy your own. There is a toy bank at the beach though please return those toys at the end of the day. We do not provide bucket and spades as they are normally broken so please do bring your own.
We provide books and games to try to keep the children entertained.
The beach huts are covered and dry on those unfortunate days it does rain. The pier is also undercover.
The Hut should be left in a clean and tidy condition and swept out prior to departure. Cleaning equipment and products are provided for that purpose.
If you lock yourself out or lose the number for the padlocks please contact us on 07916369385. Costs incurred by any damage to the door or padlock`s will be your responsibility to pay for.
