Why we think `Beach Hut Bev` Holland on sea and Clacton on sea beach huts are some of the best beach huts in Essex!
People have flocked to the beach for centuries and doctors used to prescribe it to their patients. We absolutely believe it is a place that is good for your wellbeing and has always and will always be.
When we first bought these two beach huts one was completely run down and looking for some TLC. After renovating it and bringing it back to life we named the beach hut Phoenix due to it`s past. The beach hut now gives back whenever I am looking to be restored the hut will do that for my soul.
The other beach hut is called Caribbean Blue inspired by the song by Enya of same name and has been in my family for about 20 years we have maintained it till now and it has grown with us offering more to the experience as we have learned the best methods of having a great day at the beach through our own and others experience.

You can arrive at any time you like to start the day as we have special padlocks that require a number, this will be given to you after booking over the phone then the beach hut is yours to come and go as you please.
The beach’s hut`s are all recently refurbished and protected from the wind and rain inside. Painted in our memorable brand colors of yellow, white and blue. The decor is fun and very beach positive we have collected shells to look at as well as other fun details like our popular `Beach rules` picture that is like our own beach philosophy. Our favorite being `be grateful for this day`.
The beaches recently have been revamped after a lottery win of a decision to invest in the local area. With the micro climate we have here on the coast also you are guaranteed to get some sunshine we are getting more idyllic than the South of France coast!
It`s not just the `humans` that can enjoy the new beach we encourage you to bring down your furry friends as it is a pet friendly beach now with soft sand kind on their paws dog walkers flock to the area for this reason.
The beach huts are wonderful but the placing is a blessing more so you step out and the beach is in front of you the toilets and water tap are a 20 meter walk away and there is a disabled access ramp before that. There is a official cycle path along the front going all the way to Frinton and beyond if you want the wind in your hair with plenty of shelters to stop and have lunch.
Thinking even bigger it is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Clacton on sea but not too far away as to not be able to walk to the pier and promenade. They say it is 3 miles to each horizon, you will not be disappointed here because you can see far out to sea. There is a wonderful view over the English channel any children will be amazed by the comings and goings; there are huge ships the size of football fields, smaller regatta boats petrol and sail driven, wind surfers jumping high into the air, jet skiers (that you can hire), huge wind farms creating green energy and a massive battery to store it all very educational.
You may have heard of `Sea Land` it holds a lot of fascination locally and nationally and you can see it from our beach huts. Sealand has been described as the world’s smallest country, it sits within British territorial waters and is not officially recognized by any established sovereign state. This tiny area is just 0.0015 square miles and is home to 27 people, according to estimates, Amazing! Google it to find out more information if that interest you and share that on the day you come down.

As for nature feed the seagulls we have loads around the hut! bring down a cheap loaf of bread from the local shop sea them flock. There is a crabbing groin within a min walk and lots of crabs which we know first hand. You may even see our friendly local seal pop his head up and say hello we have many a time from our beach hut.
If you want to really see some nature in depth you can walk up to the Holland Haven Country Park it will take about 20mins walk or 5 min car ride where there is a nature reserve with connected car park and park map signage. At the park you will find flocking starlings near dusk a wonder of the world also lot`s of different bird species and bird watching `hides` specifically designed for that purpose as it is a popular area for bird watchers. There are accessible pill boxes from the Second World War along the Haven sea wall on the way to Frinton for you to look at and take some selfies.
We are below the nicest restaurant in Holland; `The Kingscliff` which has won local awards for it`s excellence. It is part hotel also so if you want to spend long days with no driving back and forth just rent a room it also has free Wifi so if you need to use your laptop come up sit inside or out and use it. If you are looking for something a little less expensive there is a fish and chip shop just down the road and a cafe a 10 minute walk from the hut on the sea front.
